Usually we’re asked to simply ‘swing by’ the Hayfield House on Penn State’s Wilkes-Barre Campus. However, this time we were lucky enough to shoot the entire ceremony there! Wow..

Just wow.. is our first reaction after going through Katie & Nils’s photos and reminiscing about their wedding day. But wait! There’s more! There’s actually a lot more to say. First of all, it’s so hard tell that we weren’t all sweating our butts off on this hotter-than-average September day. Everyone made bearing the humidity look so flawlessly easy at the Glenmaura National Golf Club. Check out that bouquet and the rest of the floral arrangements by Central Park Flowers in Scranton, Pa. And that dress! Holy moly. There were also a ton of ‘firsts’ during Katie & Nils’s wedding day; Nils’s first look with his mom, Katie’s first look with her dad, and we can’t forget the bride & groom’s first look. Cookies? Yes. Homemade cookies!? YES, PLEASE, ABSOLUTELY!! Seeing traditions true to our Pennsylvanian Home-state, like this newlywed’s cookie table, is beyond awesome. Our PA sky was as equally awesome for the whole day. Stone Hedge Country Club’s wide open fields really gave us a chance to take a step back and appreciate the scenery. It also proved to be the perfect vantage point for the awe-inspiring storm that joined us for the reception. They say rain is good luck on your wedding; but we’re pretty sure lightning is where it’s at. Congratulations, Jamie & Jonathan!

It’s a no brainer to award Dana and Charlie top spot for Cutest Ring Bearer; and we’re not just saying that because he’s their son. Logan did an A+ job walking down the aisle to announce Mom’s arrival with his sign! After the ceremony, we got to be super sneaky and use Wilkes-Barre’s iconic Black Diamond Bridge for its unique backdrop. It’s always rad being able to use hometown landmarks in our shots.
