Alexis and Justin; the classic fisherman meets mermaid love story. That’s how it goes, right? Either way, we could tell right off the bat during their engagement session that their story is definitely unique. As Officiant Janet Dunn-Davenport says, after Justin took Alexis out on his boat, “they decided they would like to paddle together up the mighty river as a devoted, determined couple.” They celebrated their special day at the rustic, 19th century Fox Hill Farm in Honesdale after walking down the mismatched, carpeted aisle that we cannot get enough of. We had such a blast ‘catching’ up with the newlyweds!
Congrats, Alexis and Justin!

Erin and Josh. What. A. Party. Yes, their wedding day was epic enough for single word sentence fragments. There was karaoke, a donut tower, dancing, dancing, and more dancing. Better yet, Erin decorated most of the venue and even scored her drop dead gorgeous dress as a thrift find. Their big day was held at Shadyrill Farm in Dallas for the venue’s featured spring wedding. The barn has a beautiful, rustic atmosphere that made everyone feel right at home, and all of the room to break out some fancy footwork. We can’t get over how incredibly the bride and groom’s photos came out, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Congrats to Erin and Josh from all of us at KJAD!

LJ & John.. le sigh, they make us so happy..
Celebrating love never felt so good, and the fact that we were at a winery probably, most definitely helped. Something about wine and crisp, autumn air in October is enough to make us all giddy here at the studio. We hope the love, friendship, and warmth shines through in these photos just as much as it did on LJ & John’s wedding day. Enjoy!

Alex and Jack’s wedding was held at Huntsville Golf Club in Dallas, PA, and it just happens to be one of our favorite clubs. Great clubhouse, beautiful grounds and an even better looking golf course. Complete with rolling hills, rustic stone walls, sweeping hills and valleys, there were so many nooks and crannies for us to explore. We don’t typically get the opportunity, especially on such a gorgeous day, to roam around the course, grounds and clubhouse for our photo opportunities for the wedding – First looks privately out front, family sessions on the back practice green, ceremonies behind the clubhouse and a bumping party under the stars and tent. It was such a great choice for Alex and Jack to enjoy their wedding day with friends and family… and they certainly did!

… And now on to their big day. Kate and Mike began their day getting ready at the picturesque Olympia’s Valley Estate. Kate was at the main house and Mike and groomsmen prepared at a smaller residence nearby on the grounds. Once everyone was set, the two met on the dock of the small lake on the property. It was the absolute perfect backdrop for this occasion. We made our way around the grounds for a quick shoot just before the signing of the Ketubah. What followed was a beautiful lakeside ceremony and a reception that was held in the estate’s updated but yet rustic barn. Getting to spend two days with everyone in beautiful Sonoma County California was such a treat! Thanks to Kate and Mike for having us out to celebrate with them.
With destination weddings, we try to capture as much as we can, usually over multiple days, and be a part of the entire wedding weekend festivities. So, if you are considering a destination wedding of any sorts, keep it in mind to include your photography and/or video team as much as you can in ALL of the weekend’s events. You’ll definitely love to relive all of it over and over again. Enjoy!
