over the 2021 holiday season, we received one of the highest compliments we can get as artists in our industry: Kaitlyn reached out to us via email to express how meaningful her sister Kara’s Wedding Film was to her and their family, and asked us to capture her wedding day with Ryan just a few short months later at District Winery in Washington DC. so, in early spring of this year stephen and stay from our crew arrived in D.C., met with familiar faces, and prepared to tell the story of another Maloney Family milestone!
it’s been such an incredible honor to have the opportunity to archive and create at every turn for this wonderful family, and we are so grateful for the responsibility.
P.S. you can also see Kara & Rob’s Wedding Film here after you watch Kaitlyn & Ryan’s! https://youtu.be/PEWLWnFgKrM

Here we are again!! Back at it, finally. Blogging like it’s our job. We kick off the 2020 season by blogging a little about our great friends Lindsay and CJ. Little backstory for you – I (steve) have known Lindsay and her family for quite some time now and I was just beyond thrilled when I received the text that she was engaged and that KNOT JUST ANY DAY was going to be a part of the wedding. Now knowing CJ for the little time that I have, I really couldn’t be any happier for the two of them. It’s always so great when the right people find each other. So congrats to you two!! Yay!
Lindsay and CJ asked if KJAD would come to their new home in Philadelphia for their session, and as you know, we absolutely prefer going places that our couples love over someplace that’s picked out of a hat. We buzzed around in their house for a bit, changed outfits, and then made our way over to Washington Square Park. Turns out it was one of the colder, windier days we had this late winter season. We braved the weather, took our photos quickly, and ran around to keep warm.
*Special shout out to my helper Caroline (Lindsay’s sister and friend of mine) for being on Lindsay and CJ’s coat duty at the park with me.
It’s always so wonderful to see our friends go through the process of getting engaged, planning a wedding, and saying “I do”. It’s especially sweet to see it all happen from our vantage point. We have the best seat in the house on their wedding day – being that close with all of their friends and family is such an honor and such an exciting place to be.
Enjoy their photos and we can’t wait for their upcoming wedding at St. David’s Golf Club in Wayne, PA. Till then!
Here’s a behind the scenes pic that Caroline snapped of us during our time at Washington Square Park. (thanks!!)

We wish we could review the amazing people we get to capture memories for like they write reviews for us. Taylor and Jeremy would definitely get an infinite amount of stars. We first met them a couple years ago for their engagement session in Jim Thorpe when we learned that they were planning on getting married in Punta Cana. In the two years leading up to their wedding, we’ve shared so many laughs, got to meet Taylor and Jeremy’s parents, and can whole- heartedly call them family now. Taylor, Jeremy, and all of their family and friends are such down to earth, genuine, fun loving people who understand what’s important in life and cherish that to the core. That showed in every little detail of both… yes, both… of their weddings. In order for their destination beach wedding in Punta Cana to be performed in English, Taylor and Jeremy had to make it official in the states first. They had the sweetest wedding at Harveys Lake featuring Taylor’s beautiful dress by BHLDN and Jeremy’s father’s awesome vintage Chevy. A few weeks later, our very own Steve and Stephen were on a plane heading to the hottest, but most incredible wedding ever. Taylor’s brother officiated the ocean front ceremony, reminding us all that we could do anything we want to do, but we can’t always do it alone. Taylor and Jeremy are the absolute perfect match and truly bring out the best in each other and everyone around them. We continued the celebration with the reception right on the sand under the stars. Talk about dance moves (please refer to Jeremy in the wedding film below)! The next day we got to capture Taylor’s “trash the dress” as she and Jeremy ran right into the waves in full wedding attire. Yay for underwater housing and cooling down!! We had the best time on this incredible journey with the now newlyweds and everyone else involved, and are so honored to make the KJAD family even bigger. We really love what we do! Oh, Steve also highly recommends everyone try the pineapple juice in Punta Cana! He still won’t stop talking about it!
Congrats to The Williams!

Warm, early spring days with refreshingly cool breezes always make for great engagement sessions; especially when we get to travel to new places with new faces! This time we met up with Natalie and Aash at the Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 1. We absolutely love the bare brick wall that Steve, Natalie, and Aash came upon during their shoot. While setting up one of the brick shots, Steve asked Aash to tell Natalie a joke. It turns out that Aash likes telling jokes with really, really long punch lines which made for some of our favorite reactions! We fully support jokes with long punch lines, by the way.. If you have any, send them our way!! We can’t wait for this fun couple’s big wedding day in Perkasie this summer!!
Congrats again, Natalie and Aash!!

Knot Just Any Day met up with the sweetest couple, Mandi and Shaun, at Kennett Square’s famous Longwood Gardens for the most elegant of engagement sessions. Longwood Gardens, being a global leader in horticultural excellence, always provides the most epic scenery to incorporate into any photo shoot. Enter Mandi and Shaun, dressed to the nines and bursting with love and laughter! They had so much fun just being together, dancing, and exploring every nook and cranny the gardens have to offer. They even surprised us with an outfit change right before the Festival of Fountains; a magical show at Longwood involving epic fountain and light displays. We cannot wait to see what they have in store for their wedding day, but we know for sure that it will be epic!

KJAD ventured north to Upstate New York for Zoe and Brandon’s big day; Bonnie Castle Resort and Marina in Alexandria Bay, to be exact. The venue is located in the Thousand Islands Region right on the shore of the St. Lawrence River where we got to shoot some of the sweetest photos of the newlyweds. We all lucked out with a beautiful sunset (no rain, yay!), and ended their classic wedding day with a sparkler send off. We hope you enjoy this peek into their celebration!!

… And now on to their big day. Kate and Mike began their day getting ready at the picturesque Olympia’s Valley Estate. Kate was at the main house and Mike and groomsmen prepared at a smaller residence nearby on the grounds. Once everyone was set, the two met on the dock of the small lake on the property. It was the absolute perfect backdrop for this occasion. We made our way around the grounds for a quick shoot just before the signing of the Ketubah. What followed was a beautiful lakeside ceremony and a reception that was held in the estate’s updated but yet rustic barn. Getting to spend two days with everyone in beautiful Sonoma County California was such a treat! Thanks to Kate and Mike for having us out to celebrate with them.
With destination weddings, we try to capture as much as we can, usually over multiple days, and be a part of the entire wedding weekend festivities. So, if you are considering a destination wedding of any sorts, keep it in mind to include your photography and/or video team as much as you can in ALL of the weekend’s events. You’ll definitely love to relive all of it over and over again. Enjoy!
