What a blast we had at Sara and Ryan’s wedding!! We spent the day in Elizabethtown at the Historic Acres of Hershey. It was our first time at this venue, and we fell in love at first sight. There are so many fun, rustic spaces to explore on the grounds from the mid-19th century barn to the open pavilion and everything in between. Sara and Ryan decided to have their first look in front of the farmhouse with all of their closest loved ones watching from the porch. After a night full of sentimental speeches and epic dance moves, we ended the day with a sparkler send off. We hope you enjoy this peek into their special day! Congrats, Sara and Ryan!!

If you know KJAD then you know we love our Chuck Taylors. If you know Brooke and Kevin, then you’ll know that so do they, and that makes us incredibly happy. Aside from having the coolest shoes ever, they also had one of the coolest weddings. Brooke and Kevin decided to have a self uniting ceremony, which allows them in the state of Pennsylvania to officiate their own wedding. It was sweet, funny, super heartfelt, and totally them… oh and believe it or not, they had Mario Cart at the reception just in case you needed your 32-bit fix.

We survived The Ciampi Wedding! It’s so great to see family be the main focus of such an important day. From Audra’s dad’s craftsmanship when building the armature to the family stacked groomsmen party, we really felt the love. After all, what brings a family closer together than celebrating as hard as a family can celebrate!? We hope all of you survived, too!

LJ & John.. le sigh, they make us so happy..
Celebrating love never felt so good, and the fact that we were at a winery probably, most definitely helped. Something about wine and crisp, autumn air in October is enough to make us all giddy here at the studio. We hope the love, friendship, and warmth shines through in these photos just as much as it did on LJ & John’s wedding day. Enjoy!

This space before the photo section of a wedding blog is dedicated to letting you all know how wonderful Knot Just Any Day’s clients are and how we think the world of them and their awesome weddings. We will get to that for Nicole and Travis… but first you must learn of the day Steve destroyed his knee, dress pants, part of his camera, and a whole lotta gauze.
So, picture this.. The scene is Nicole and Travis’ wedding day. We find ourselves at the John James Audubon Center, and it happens to be raining ever so slightly. The ground is wet, the greenery is vibrant, and our umbrellas are out in full force. Nicole’s mom drops her off at the site of their first look, which had to be changed because of some last minute construction on one of the historic buildings on site. Not knowing that this was the case, Nicole mentions to Steve that she had wished that the their first look could have taken place on the front porch of the building. Being roped off by construction tape, Steve recommends that their first look be held out on the grounds near the building, so at least it would be in the background of their photos. Feeling awful about the unfortunate last minute switch, Steve decides to try and save the day by investigating. Don’t ever let Steve investigate. We repeat, don’t ever let Steve investigate. Anyways, Steve darts off with such enthusiasm and speed, and fails to notice the corner of the concrete foundation sticking up a bit just waiting there for his big, dumb feet to trip over it. Armed with two cameras, dress pants, his trusty Chucks, and his overwhelming need to make things just perfect, Steve clips the corner of the foundation and crashed his body, cameras, Chucks, and dress pants down onto the rough concrete and cinders. As if unfazed by his fall, Steve rises to find scuffed cameras and knuckles, ripped dress pants, and a super banged up, swollen, and bloody…did we mention bloody… right knee.
With the help of Nicole and Travis’ family and a whole pile of gauze, Steve was bandaged up and ready for another day. Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting Humpty back together. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as Steve enjoyed the support of the family and friends of the truly awesome Nicole and Travis.
P.S. Steve eventually made it onto the porch and they all lived happily ever after.
