an advanced lighting photography workshop

[ISO] in search of LIGHT - a photography workshop that focuses on creating and manipulating light. This workshop is for the working photographer that wants to have a better understanding of creative lighting.

Through the use of modifiers, strobes, constant lights, and even gels, you will learn how to easily create stylized lighting and remarkable photos.

LIGHT will have a limited number of seats available so that we can focus on small group and one-on-one instruction. There will be ample time to work with different modifiers while working in small groups with models.

It's possible to have your cake and eat it too. With flash photography, you can either ramp up the contrast and create dramatic images or learn to sculpt with it to achieve soft and subtle looks.

This workshop will explore each end of those extremes and enable you to make the appropriate decisions regarding what tools and techniques are needed for the desired outcome.

While our main focus will be on creating with light, we will also touch on, and spend some time with, posing, gear, critiques, storytelling, and so much more.

In search of LIGHT will be held at the KNOT JUST ANY DAY studio and will consist of lectures, demonstrations, critiques, a sweet meal, on and off-site photo instruction, and time for you to explore exciting spaces with your newly acquired knowledge with a few sets of models and couples.

You will have one-on-one time with the KJAD crew and even some time to work with new and exciting equipment. By the end of the day you'll be able to problem solve your way into a beautifully composed and executed photograph.
