a foundation level photography workshop

[ISO] in search of BASICS - a foundation level photography workshop for enthusiasts. BASICS has been created to teach you the essentials of photography and flash photography. Learn to manipulate shutter, aperture and sensitivity, and you’ll be well on your way to capturing the photos that you want instead of being stuck with what you get.

Portraits, sports, events, your kid’s soccer game or recital, products, food, nature, or even that thing you need to take a photo of at work … this workshop will cover it all and equip you with new techniques, so you are able to enjoy capturing any moment successfully.

We want this workshop to be accessible to everyone interested in photography. If you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera and are interested in having a better understanding of the fundamentals, then this class is for you.

We will be starting at the beginning and pushing ourselves into new and exciting territory. Covering everything from aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, to composition, proper flash use, culling and even basic editing techniques.

BASICS will help take your understanding and abilities to a new and exciting level. Learn to obtain the photo you want and have the skills to adjust accordingly.

In search of BASICS will be held at the KNOT JUST ANY DAY studio and will consist of lectures, demonstrations, critiques, a sweet meal, on and off-site photo instruction, and time for you to explore exciting spaces with your newly acquired knowledge.

You will have one-on-one time with the KJAD crew and even some time to work with new and exciting equipment. By the end of the day you'll be able to problem solve your way into a beautifully composed and executed photograph.
