We don’t know who was more excited for Julianna and Cody’s wedding day.. Just kidding, it was Julianna.. most definitely Julianna. If everyone got as excited about what they love as Julianna does, the world would be much sweeter than it already is. Her cake cutting smile makes us want to dance. Speaking of cakes; the newlyweds got to cut not just one epic cake, but two! While most people have after parties, Cody and Julianna had a before-party (or should we call it a pre-party? yes, we like that much more) in her aunt’s beautiful back yard where cake number one happened. A lot of laughter happened, too, after a certain couple attempted to eat some thought-to-be-edible-but-not-so-edible floral cake decor. The couple did a bit better with cake number two from the talented artists at Minooka Pastry Shop when it came to not eating the flowers. What a beautiful wedding day! Congrats to the happy couple from all of us at KJAD!

“Look Hughes getting married!” It’s Kathryn and Shawn Hughes. Get it? Eh? We are all about puns at KJAD, but that’s not the only reason why we loved being a part of the newlyweds’ big day. Kathryn and Shawn have some of the biggest hearts, and we could tell as soon as we met them. Their big day had us experiencing some ‘firsts’ in our wedding world. Instead of a guest book or signing your name onto a wooden heart, the couple had everyone sign a guest quilt. It must be the warmest quilt in the world with all of the love that everyone put into it. There was also a mariachi band that serenaded everyone before dinner that blew us away. They are welcome to come perform at the studio whenever they’d like to. Congrats to Kathryn and Shawn! What a beautiful wedding day!!

Meet The Werts!! Ahhhh!!! We are still so stoked about how much fun everyone had at Ellen and Donnie’s wedding. After taking us to Knoebels for their engagement shoot we knew whatever they had in store for their big day was going to blow us away. We were right. There was amazing live music around every corner; a killer accordionist after bride prep at The Colonnade, the breath taking string trio during their ceremony, and let’s not forget about the epic brass band that had the newlyweds and all of their guests second lining to the after party at the Backyard Ale house. So much dancing! So much that the bride and groom forgot to hit up their own photo booth, but not to worry!! Steve decided to find a whimsical wall and acted as the world’s fastest human photo booth… be sure to check out their photo booth shots; they make us smile. Oh! We can’t forget the coolest part of the day.. we got to hang with Wyatt again!! We missed our furry friend, and he was very excited for mom and dad.
Congrats, Ellen and Donnie!!

Alexis and Justin; the classic fisherman meets mermaid love story. That’s how it goes, right? Either way, we could tell right off the bat during their engagement session that their story is definitely unique. As Officiant Janet Dunn-Davenport says, after Justin took Alexis out on his boat, “they decided they would like to paddle together up the mighty river as a devoted, determined couple.” They celebrated their special day at the rustic, 19th century Fox Hill Farm in Honesdale after walking down the mismatched, carpeted aisle that we cannot get enough of. We had such a blast ‘catching’ up with the newlyweds!
Congrats, Alexis and Justin!

After reminiscing through Alyssa and Alex’s engagement photos from last year, we had some sort of excited butterflies throwing a party in our stomachs, too. All of the final details were put into place; the dreamy floral arrangements, Alyssa’s stunning veil, the warm June breeze, and even Alex’s socks that were donning his bride’s glowing smile. The ceremony was full of laughter and smiles. It totally left us swooning. Their celebration took us to the always beautiful Beaumont Inn in Dallas where the newlyweds were surrounded by all of the love from their family and friends. We think it’s safe to say that they definitely danced the night away. Congrats to The Ellsworths!!

Dreams really do come true, and Ashley and Russ are living proof. We traveled to Philadelphia to celebrate their big day at the Philadelphia Quartett Club right around the corner from where we shot their engagement session. However, the happy couple traveled all the way from Kansas! That’s an extra destination wedding, and their family and friends were more than ecstatic. So much dancing, so much love; congrats to the newlyweds!!

Stanks got a Berger! What an elegant, charming, smiling ear to ear kind of day. We spent our time before the reception wandering around the trains in Downtown Scranton and exploring Steamtown. We could hang out at the train station all day, and we can’t seem to stop gawking at the photos by the tracks either. Krissy and Dave held their reception at The Hilton a skip away from the railways. Dave, his father, and brother started the celebration with the ceremonial breaking of the bread. It wasn’t long after that until everyone hit the dance floor. Believe us when we tell you, Krissy and Dave’s family and friends can bust a move! We caught an epic dance off; maybe even a few others. However, we have to give the dance title to Krissy’s dad, who perfectly executed the fine art of getting ‘a little bit softer now’. We hope you enjoy this glimpse of their special day! Congrats to the newlyweds!!
