Yay for our first wedding of 2017!!
The first wedding of the season is always exciting and much anticipated. It makes us feel like little kids on Christmas, and sets the mood for the rest of the year. So it was perfect getting to see some familiar faces for wedding numero uno. We met Kristen & Tibi way before their big day during their engagement shoot in New York City’s Flatiron District. Getting to see all of their plans and smiles come together so beautifully on their special day is the exact reason we love what we do. When there is so much raw emotion and appreciation to slow down and take everything in, our roles fall into place so gracefully. We’re more than grateful to be able to help make the magic happen.
Here’s to more smiles, more love, more special moments to share!
Congrats, Kristen & Tibi!

We started off our 2017 spring season with a sneak peek of Kristen and Tibi’s wedding from this past weekend at the Raddison Lackawanna Station Hotel. Their classy wedding was filled with glitter, gold, and just the right amount of sparkle. And even though it was a chilly rainy day, we weathered the elements and made our way over to the University of Scranton for a few outdoor photos. We can’t wait to share with you more from this stunning wedding… but for now, enjoy this sneak peek.

“Ain’t no party (wedding) like a Crystal and Jesse party (wedding)”… or better yet, “go big or go home”… either way, 22 of your best friends and family makes for one amazing time. Their wedding party was definitely one to remember in such a great way. We quickly got the day off to a great start with their street corner first look. As we set up everyone, we found out last minute that Jesse decided he would still love to wait to see his bride to be at their wedding ceremony. So, the fellas blindfolded him and we were on our way!
They decided to have their wedding at the classic Luzerne County Courthouse in the main hall. It’s such a stunning backdrop for a wedding. And just like Jesse wanted, he was able to see Crystal for the first time walk down the steps inside of the courthouse. Well worth the wait.
Photos in and around the courthouse and then a quick trip from downtown Wilkes-Barre to Sand Springs Golf Club in Drums, Pa. We ran around taking photos all over the golf course and then quickly got everyone back to the party. And party they did.

Thank goodness for semi-warm February days because they make for the best winter engagement shoots. Added bonus: THERE’S A DOG, and he has his own Instagram Page! What a cool d00d! For Mariah & Ryan’s engagement shoot we visited the slopes at Montage Mountain. There was a lot of laughing and a lot of love and even some startling (we apologize on behalf of the champagne for that). Be sure to check out Mariah jazzin’ it up in her mom’s baller mink coat. We cannot wait for their wedding!

What’s better than kissing your sweetheart at midnight on New Year’s Eve? Kissing as newlyweds on New Year’s Eve! Kaitlin & Mike celebrated their new marriage by ringing in a whole new year surrounded by friends and family; friends and family who were ready to par-tay (please refer to Mom below). There’s just something about the chilly holiday air that exudes romance so we can see why Kaitlin & Mike chose New Year’s Eve as their wedding day. We’re also big fans of Kaitlin’s and her father’s wedding day Chuck Taylors. We’re suckers for the Chucks at KJAD! Be sure to check them out!
Happy Newlywed Year, Kaitlin & Mike!!

KJAD came in as a double threat for this huge wedding with photos and coordination, and we couldn’t be ‘hoppier’.
What do you get when combine love, family, a local craft brewery, and snow? A super awesome, beer themed wedding, duhhh. SBC‘s Toboggan themed wedding, to be exact. From the bridal party’s color pallet to the actual toboggan escort card table (and one of Steve’s favorite beers), the theme poured true throughout the day. The ceremony was everything a December wedding could possibly be; elegant, ‘So-Wheat’, and white. We even got to see some snow after the ceremony for photos! They say rain on your wedding day is lucky, so frozen rain must add a little extra luck. Anyways, be sure to check out the Toboggan Beer Cake that we could ‘barley’ contain our excitement for.
Cheers!!

If you know KJAD then you know we love our Chuck Taylors. If you know Brooke and Kevin, then you’ll know that so do they, and that makes us incredibly happy. Aside from having the coolest shoes ever, they also had one of the coolest weddings. Brooke and Kevin decided to have a self uniting ceremony, which allows them in the state of Pennsylvania to officiate their own wedding. It was sweet, funny, super heartfelt, and totally them… oh and believe it or not, they had Mario Cart at the reception just in case you needed your 32-bit fix.
