What is considered a Destination Wedding

Any wedding 2 or more hours away from the KJAD studio in Wilkes-Barre, PA that requires us to make special travel arrangements including lodging, mileage, and/or airfare.

Typically, we drive to and from weddings in Philly, NYC, and the Jersey Shore on the same day. If any special circumstances require us to be on site by 8:00am, we would work with you to include accommodations that would allow our crew to arrive the night prior if possible.

Good news! We do. No need to add this to your to-do list. Our destination packages include airfare, transportation and lodging for our crew to make the financial side easier for you. We travel often and are more than comfortable with handling all travel reservations.

We prefer to arrive a day early to scout your venue and with the intention to shoot your rehearsal in addition to your wedding, and depart the morning following your wedding. When appropriate (i.e. Colorado), we will come out a few days earlier to get acclimated to any environmental changes (i.e. altitude change, etc.) The extra days are no expense to you!

Yes, we would put together a custom package that would remove airfare and add mileage compensation.

Absolutely!! Let’s do this!! We would just need ample time to apply for a working VISA if one is needed.

We pack the gear we need for the task at hand strategically in a “carry-on” friendly manner to avoid bag checking any equipment.

All the time. Even before the word “Zoom” became a verb, we often video called with our out of state couples to help them plan and navigate their wedding. Every service we offer is focused exclusively on your “day-of” timeline. It’s crucial that you get to enjoy your day, no matter where you live.

Not always. Hiring KJAD allows you to maintain an open line of communication with your team, as we can chat at any point. Additionally, you’ll have no unexpected hurdles receiving your wedding photos and videos as you're still subject to our 8-10 week turnaround time.

Although we may not be familiar with the grounds of your venue, we are experienced, adaptable artists and we will do everything we can to ensure a smooth and enjoyable wedding experience. Sometimes on-site wedding services are much more expensive because you may not be given any other options.With that being said, know that some locations may charge you to bring in outside vendors.

We encourage our couples to find a location that is meaningful to them for engagement photos. All we ask is that you take care of our travel expenses when applicable whether it be mileage and/or other travel/lodging costs.

Our destination packages are set with one or two members of our crew depending on the service. So you could book 1 of us - or all 6. Your call.

Nope. We can handle buying our own food and other goodies on the days we are there leading up to your wedding day. All we ask is for a meal at your reception.
